JUMPSTARTER 2023 IS OPEN TO STARTUPS FROM ALL AROUND THE WORLD THAT FULFIL THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:
Applicant must be the Founder or Co-founder of the startup.
Startup is ideation-stage or early-stage or growth-stage. The business has been operational for less than 5 years.
Startup must have raised less than US$20 million in funding to date.
Startup must possess an innovative business idea or product or service, and demonstrate how your innovation and technology has impacted your business, your industry and the people.
Startup must desire to make Hong Kong and/or other cities in the GBA be part of your future plans.

ONLINE SCREENING & SCORING

  • The screening and scoring will be processed by the AEF team.
  • A total of 100 teams will be shortlisted for the Semi Pitch.

SEMI PITCH – TOP 100
(ONLINE PITCH)

  • Present your business pitch ideas to a panel of judges in either English, Cantonese or Mandarin
  • Present your pitch deck in English only
  • Pitch Rule: 5-min presentation + 3-min Q&A
  • All pitch sessions will be recorded and publicly displayed online.

DUE DILIGENCE

Why And How Due Diligence Is Conducted?

  • To ensure all finalists are qualified for the Final Pitch, the top 30 finalists are required to go through a due diligence process conducted by the Investment Manager of the Alibaba Entrepreneurs Fund before advancing to the FINAL pitch.
  • Due diligence is a rigorous evaluation of an investment opportunity before the commitment to invest. The process involves an in-depth investigation of the market opportunity, business model, key performance metrics, and management team.

  • Present your business pitch ideas to a panel of judges in either English, Cantonese or Mandarin
